Thorbjorn Olesen, Sam Hutsby, Garth Mulroy, Julien Guerrier, Soren Kjeldsen, Shane Lowry and Richard Green all lie one shot behind the leaders then one shot on front of some other group of 12 players on six under.
Of the leaders, Swede Pelle Edberg was the largest mover thanks to a six-under-par 66, whie Peter Lawrie, who led by one following the first round thanks to a great 64, could do no much better than a level-par 72.
Englishman Simon Wakefield also impressed taylormade burner superfast 2.0 driver having a 67 and Holland's Maarten Lafeber did well using a 68.
The six leaders have only three European Tour titles between them and will be eager to increase their tally this week.
Wakefield told Europeantour.com: "It was just one those times when everything went right. I hit every shot I wanted to hit, and been able to hole my share of putts, so I'm delighted.
"The company's been great, the weather's perfect where there aren't a lot more scenic places like this to play golf, so I've really enjoyed myself. It makes you are feeling a bit more relaxed, and that i play my best golf when I am relaxed."
Lafeber needed to get back on Qualifying School this past year after finishing 149th inside the Race to Dubai and ping g15 irons reckons co-leader Jamie Donaldson is a to watch for the remainder of the week.
"Last year my long game was horrible - I was hitting all of it in the place," said the Dutchman.
"So I'm very happy to return playing well again.
"It's looking pretty bunched discount golf clubs currently. Jamie Donaldson is playing well, and there's some really good players on the internet for therefore it won't be easy.
